The Flaming Buoy Filet Co.

(7 Ratings)
Fun restaurant with fabulous food
The buoy isn't the only thing flaming at this Old Town seafood joint. The restaurant has a large gay clientele, though you're sure to find a nice mix of clientele and friendly service.

Good food, good service, fair wine list

Five of us for dinner (went based on reviews here) and everyone enjoyed the dinner. A little heat to some of the dishes (making "Flaming" appropriate) but the short wine list had some good vintages.

perfect for sommeliers and those down with the cause!

I said I was not going to drink wine on vacation because that's all I do...until I found a place to drink wine at. Ugh, got me on the Tokaji. Dammit!

Must eat here

This place is delicious! It is kind of off the beaten path for most toursits, so it is relaxing but still with hip decor and some of the best food on the island. My partner and I ate here the other night, the scallops were perfections and the pineapple banana curry was the best that I have ever tasted!

Great date night eating

I'm thrilled to have found this restaurant. The owners, Scot and Fred are your servers. Scot made us feel at home with light banter and great explanations about the menu. We tried the lobster mac & cheese appetizer which was delicious. Our dinners were equally as good. More of a local "type" restaurant, if you're a tourist you have to be lucky to find The Flaming Buoy since it seems out of the Duval St "way." My partner and I were very lucky. 5 stars.
